“Shimmering and delightful. Richard Rodgers is a magician of the musical theatre.”

Scott Bakula and Sophina Brown

Set in Paris, this is a beautiful bittersweet story of two Americans, a Pulitzer Prize winning author turned drifter and a glamorous high-fashion model, whose paths cross and send them on a romantic adventure. The touching and haunting score, sprinkled with an air of Parisian sophistication, ranges from the jazz-infused “Eager Beaver” to memorable ballads like “The Sweetest Sounds”. A Tony Award Winner for Best Score, this was the first musical for which Rodgers wrote both lyrics and music.
