This rarely revived gem celebrates the 1998 George Gershwin centennial, and was the first musical to win the Pulitzer Prize, in 1932. The N.Y. Times raved: "What little dignity there may have been in politics and government has been laughed out of the court…it has George Gershwin's most brilliant score…" From George Jean Nathan: "The happiest and most successful music stage lampoon to come the way of the American stage." High-spirited songs include, "Love is Sweeping the Country," "Who Cares?" and "Of Thee I Sing."
