"Reprise has conquered critics and audiences alike."

-Playbill

Let's start at the very beginning...

Reprise was founded in 1997 by Marcia Seligson as a home for great musical theatre in Los Angeles. In the beginning, we were dedicated to producing rarely revived, classic Broadway musicals. You name it, we revived it! From the Gershwins, Irving Berlin, Frank Loesser, Jule Styne to Rodgers and Hart, Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim..well, you get the picture! As our organization grew up we expanded the scope of our work to include all musicals, from the scarcely seen gems to the great classics. Click here for detailed information about all of our past productions.

Since 1997, we have produced an annual season of three to four shows for our Southern California audience including our very loyal subscriber base. Beyond our main season productions, we have also produced numerous special events including the 20th Anniversary Concert of SWEENEY TODD, HAIR, and FOLLIES. We also have presented numerous staged readings of ASSASSINS, BABY, ELEGIES and WORKING.

The greats of the musical theatre world have also graced our stage in numerous solo concerts. They include CAROL BURNETT, PATTI LuPONE, BEN VEREEN, KRISTIN CHENOWETH and BRIAN STOKES MITCHELL.

Reprise is a professional not-for-profit theatre company and is not affiliated with UCLA.
